From the album 'Stray Fantasies', out January 31 on Western Vinyl, Hollie and Keith Kenniff, aka Boston's Mint Julep, have shared the record's title track.
The iridescent electro-pop number fields a shimmering interplay of synths, pulsing bassline and punching drums that augment Hollie’s wistful vocal, as she unfurls a lyrical theme of vulnerability, insecurity, love and relationships.
“'Stray Fantasies' is a song about the confusion and inner struggle of a relationship at a crossroads," explains Keith. "Musically, since the lyrics were so heavy we wanted to balance that with something bright, but with some imperfection and edge; even though there's a lot of instruments layered throughout it feels tenuous with various textures coming in and out, lots of dynamic shifts and moments of tension and release."
