London-based alt-rock quintet Prima Queen - fronted by songwriting duo Louise Macphail and Kristin McFadden - have released their new single 'Brownstone' today.
The track, which will appear on their debut EP out later this year - was written over Whatsapp while McFadden was in the US, with the duo messaging parts of the song via voice memo conversations.
“I think the song is about getting older and being disillusioned by the unrealistic depictions of love/ relationships on TV, in the media, but knowing deep down you kind of want to live that fantasy," they say. "It’s about the search to find love/someone to spend your life with after a series of unsuccessful relationships.”
