& The Centurions Release New Single ‘Skeletons’

Indie-rockers, & The Centurions, have released their first new single since their 2011 debut EP ‘Animalism’.

During 2012 they ventured to London’s Limehouse Studios to record their follow-up EP, from which they’ve released the first track titled ‘Skeletons’.

Talking about the track, the four-piece said “The song in a sense is based on being singled out; the place we go to after something has affected us; the people we become that aren't necessarily who we want to be. It resembles our vices, flaws and addictions, always doing things over and over again in order to feel something, but then having to face the consequences”.

After meeting & forming whilst at house parties in Bahrain, they’ve gone on to support bands such as Bastille, Citizens!, The Other Tribe, and fellow breaking band, Theme Park. Back with their new sound though, you can expect yet more comparisons to the likes of Two Door Cinema Club in their latest single, along with more indie-rock nods to Foals and Bloc Party, as they merge upbeat guitar hooks with joyful and attacking melodies.

“I guess you could say it’s about escaping from a place you don't want to be. Somewhere unknown, somewhere in the future" they add, a sure sign that 2013 is a year that & The Centurions want to remember. With new music like this, it’d be hard to imagine them ever slipping through the clutches of hordes of indie-obsessed fans in Britain right now.

& The Centurions are: Mazen Al Maskati - Vox/Guitar; Vish Mhatre - Drums & Percussion; Rab - Bass; Jad Habib - Lead Guitar
