First Listen :: Big Sister
'Lets Go Fly A Kite' is the debut single from London-based Big Sister, a new band on the newly formed Crocodile Records label.
Big Sister consist of Nico and Johanna Curwood who take on vocals and guitars with their friend Remi Lamarcq on bass guitar. They like noisey guitars and wah wah pedals and state their influences as Ride, Swervedriver and The Jesus and Mary Chain.
What comes across on their debut are some fine guitar riffs, psych-like lo-fi vocals and a cross-decades channelling from 60s to 90s.
The single is available now for digital download via the Crocodile Recrds Bandcamp and then physical on October 13 via limited hand numbered cassette tape.
Crocodile Records is the new label set up by Hatcham Social founding members, brothers Toby and Finnigan Kidd with the aim of 'letting bands be who they are and keep things exciting. We record the bands in our garage and make sure not to knock the rough edges off.'
