Exit Calm Reveal New Year Single And 22 Date Tour

Following acclaim for their recently released long-awaited follow-up album to their 2010 self-titled debut, ‘The Future Isn’t What It Used To Be’, Barnsley’s Exit Calm are set to embark on a mammoth 22-date UK and Europe tour.

A third single from the album, entitled 'Promise', is also set for a New Year release on January 20 2014, thru Club AC30.

Described by Guitarist Magazine as "one of the best British guitar bands of the last 25 years", Exit Calm produce music with heart, style and integrity mixed with euphoria and hedonism. The talent of Rob Marshall’s haunting guitar work and the raw but compelling vocals of Nicky Smith have made them a firm favourite on the live circuit.

Recent live shows showcase the modern- baggy-meets-grunge anthem blow out of ‘The Rapture’; the breakbeat-tinged fury of ‘Albion’ and the melodic, Bunnymen guitars and groove of ‘Fiction’. In the current era of disposable heroes, Exit Calm tread a different path. From a band who simply list their influences as three legendary record labels, their output invokes the same classic approach to music as Creation Records. They bring the euphoria and hedonism of Factory to the progressive, with the forward thinking ideals of Mo Wax.
