ORBITAL - CHRISTMAS CHIME

GECKO - THAT TIME OF YEAR
The London-based trop-pop band's Christmas single, all proceeds from which go to the homeless charity Shelter.





SPIRES - CANDY FLIP
Brooklyn-based 60s psych/shoegaze quartet with a storming little track (out via Too Pure Singles Club). Catch them with our own TOY at Kung Fu Necktie, Philadelphia on January 11 2014.





SEIZE THE CHAIR - I JUST WANT TO SLEEP
Named after a sketch on a Reeves and Mortimer show, the Sheffield quartet fire off this cracker of a tune as part of a split single (with Best Friends) released December 9. They play a free show on Monday, December 16, Upstairs at The Garage, London.





YOUNGHUSBAND - I DON'T INTEND TO SPEND CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU
Seasonal offering of a Margo Guryan cover which closes a phenomenal year for the London quartet, following their acclaimed album release, 'Dromes'.





TEDDY - PRIMATE
Catchy debut from new Dalston four-piece released on December 9 - with a hook line of "I'm rough, baby, I shit every day and I think about dying."





AUGUSTINES - NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR HEAD
Lead single from their self-titled next album (co-produced by Peter Katis - The National, Frightened Rabbit, Interpol) from the Seattle based trio (formerly We Are Augustines) out on Caroline Records UK on February 3. The band return to London to play The Lexington on January 21 - a date which sold out in 4 minutes.





TOWNS - MARBLES
The Bristol quartet return with a big rigged, feedback full track - in advance of their debut long player expected next May. Catch them playing live tonight (December 13) at Old Blue Last, London.





LVLS - YOUNG & CRUEL
Manchester five-piece LVLS (Loveless) who formed earlier this year and already onto their second EP, 'Teenager', out on January 6 2014.
