April 4 2014 - Hot Top Ten


BLANK REALM - REACH YOU ON THE PHONE
Alt-pop Brisbane quartet (comprising sibling vocalists Daniel and Sarah Spencer on vocals, and brother Luke on bass) deliver the infectiously catchy follow-up to 'Bulldozer Love' - both from the 'Grassed Inn' LP. Heading for the UK to play London's The Lexington on July 2.






VELVET MORNING - OCTO CITY
19-year-old Samuel Jones aka Velvet Morning delves into shoegaze territory (or 'smooth psychedelia' as he terms it) with this trippy bliss of a single just released. Tune in, drift away. Must be something in the ozone at Leigh-on-Sea.






ONLY REAL - CADILLAC GIRL
Lo-fi, chilled out slacker vibes channelled by West London's Niall Galvin on this revamped version of 2012 following signing to Virgin/EMI. Album expected this summer.







STRANGERS - WOLF AT THE DOOR
Northampton’s electronica masters unveil the next slice of synth confectionery, set for download release on June 2.







FORMES - LIGHTS
New single out April 16 (mixed by Ride's Mark Gardener) from the three-piece psych rockers whom we first featured here last October as a Track Of The Day. Catch them live at Liverpool Psych Fest in September.

New single - out April 14 on RIP Records - from the Oz/London three-piece who deliver neo-psych around reverb rich riffs.







AS ELEPHANTS ARE - SOULS
After making their mark last year with 'War Cry' and 'Crystal', the High Wycombe Four are back with this new track from the 'Hand Prints' EP released on May 5.







CLOUD BOAT - CARMINE
