Marking the debut of this new London trio Looks, is 'Everest', out this week via the Killing Moon label.
Sounding impressively assured, there is plenty in the five minutes of 'Everest' to keep your attention glued: jittering angular guitars, shimmering synth notes, full on percussion, rousing chorus, and vocals courtesy of Wes (plus Rudi, guitar/vocals and Stevie on drums) that are just a bit like warmly melting butter, mixed with a sharp zest of citrus drip ...dripping into your ears.
Having only played their first live show in March, they were then almost immediately snapped up to play Brighton's Great Escape festival in May, so expect Looks to be keeping their profile on the radar over the rest of the year.
