Listen :: Whistlejacket Return With New Track 'Swimming Lessons'

It's been a year since the London psych/shoegaze five-piece Whistlejacket first came to our attention with the stunning 'March Hare' (see here).

Now, after working on a new EP, and an unfortunate and long legal dispute involving "a case of mistaken identity, a Kiwi band with the same name, dodgy blazers and a copyright claim", they are back with a new track, 'Swimming Lessons'.

Sludgey, submerged vocals that sound like they are way in at the deep end, while guitars send in the lifeguard reinforcements. Not drowning, just shoe-waving. Take a listen below.

Catch Whistlejacket this Friday (August 29) at Shacklewell Arms, London, headlining the final night of the Label Mates Festival along with Dracula Legs and Sun Machine. The event is Free Entry.

They will also play Liverpool Psych Fest next month, as well as release their self-titled EP before Christmas via a limited edition run of self released cassettes.
