[Video] Metronomy - Month Of Sundays
Metronomy unveil the final video from their fourth album 'Love Letters', directed by Michel Gondry.
Visual images were sought by visual artist Callum Cooper, who set up a rig in London in the form of a sculpture to achieve the motion-sickness-inducing visual effect. Other visual influences include Angus McBean’s EMI building photo for The Beatles' album 'Please Please Me'.
In interview with Nowness, the band's Joe Mount described 'Month Of Sundays' as originally intended to be "this slightly cynical song about the music industry in America, but then I just thought that was a tosser’s thing to do, so I changed it to work around this phrase [never in a month of Sundays]. There are others I want to put into a song, like “bully for you” and “you’ve made a right pig’s ear of that.”
'Love Letters' is out now on Because Music. Metronomy tour North America and Europe from September 10.
