Track Of The Day :: Tessera Skies - Droplet
Tessera Skies, the Newcastle-based trio, have been around for some while, but when university studies intervened they curtailed their live shows from the end of 2008, though remaining in contact to continue writing together.
Post-graduation and reformed under
the name of Tessera Skies in 2012, their forthcoming single 'Droplet' is one that captures all kinds of liquid and luminous textural lights that soar over melded layers of instrumentation. It really is three-and-a-half minutes of one big-sounding 'droplet' that dips and dives, swoops and soars, in dramatic force.
The song forms part of the debut label release from Mono, and will be part of a split single with Ajimal's 'Nothing Touches Me' - a former Track Of The Day at Little Indie a few weeks ago.
Tessera Skies' 'Droplet' is out on December 1, with Ajimal’s 'Nothing Touches Me' as a double A split single release via Mono.
