"Mega synths, sub beats and soaring vocoder" is Tongues' self-description, which is certainly what you get on Glasgow's electronic artist Tim Kwant's - aka Tongues - 'Colours In The Dark'.
Kwant, from electro-pop band Kill The Waves, draws comparisons to the experimentation of Hot Chip here as the track loops round a high range vocal, overlapping so there is no demarcation point between verse and chorus, with synths and snappy percussion intertwining in bursts, it makes for four minutes of something quite different.
