Hard not to be reminded of Nick Cave on this track 'Prescription' from Australian dreamy-edged electronic post-punks Nite Fields.
Taken from the four-piece Melbourne originally, now residing between Brisbane and Sydney, outfit's upcoming 'Depersonalisation' album - out next month - which was recorded in three cities over the last four years in a variety of locations, from bedrooms to studios, ‘Prescription’ is a dark, cavernous piece of melodic pop, with Danny Venzin’s baritone delivery standing out over lush jangly guitars.
'Depersonalisation' is out on February 2 via Felte Records.
Nite Fields are about to embark on a Europe-wide tour beginning this month, hitting the UK on February 23 to play one date at London's Old Blue Last.
