Listen :: Eaves - Pylons

Don't be fooled by the solo acoustic guitar and vocal opening by young Joseph Eaves - or simply Eaves, as he is known as - here, that it is going to be a long, slightly folkish ballad with not a lot happening. For just as new single, 'Pylons' - out via Heavenly Recordings on April 27 - strikes out on one level, it's not long before it's upping the pace, and its four-minute duration becomes a masterclass in attention holding.

Produced by Cam Blackwood, it is the opening track on 'What Green Feels Like', the debut album from the Bolton-raised, Leeds-based singer/songwriter, which is released the same day.

Having previously toured alongside Nick Mulvey, Boy & Bear, Slow Club, Philip Selway and most recently Rhodes, Eaves has now announced details of his own headline tour, featuring the full-band line-up.

Full list of dates is as follows:

05. Glasgow Berkeley Suite
06. Leeds Belgrave Music Hall
07. Manchester The Castle Hotel
08. Nottingham Chameleon
09. Bristol Louisiana
11. Brighton Prince Albert
