We first caught up with Sydney's Moon Holiday - aka Alexandra Ward - last year on hearing her track 'Rid U'. Not that she is so much a new girl on the block, having released her debut EP way back in 2011. But whilst she has worked with producer Flume on the track 'Insane', Karen O in Vivid Festival's 'Stop The Virgens' and Icelandic trio Samaris, she has not perhaps achieved the kind of recognition in the UK as she deserves.
Now, following the superb - and underrated - 'Rid U', the electronic producer returns with a second track from her 'Second Life' EP that was mooted for release late last year but seems still to be hanging.
'Prince' may not touch as dark and icy a level as her previous work, but it is still rich with Ward's sultry R&B style, plying layers echoing looped vocals over glitchy beats to create a distinctly affecting track.
