There's not a lot to be told about newly formed Midlands four-piece Afterbloom who emerged in February. And that's not because they are intent on mystery, but simply that it's early days and they are still working on developing.
Afterbloom consists of ex-Heavy Waves bassist Luke Morgan, together with Isaac Wight on vocals/guitar (from Sunderland, where he was in the band In Vibes), Ben Clapton, guitar, and Liam Hancock on drums.
For a first taste of the kind of material they are likely to be putting out, the band have released online their debut demo, 'Droned' and pretty good it is sounding too. Pounding beat and some truly interesting guitar riffs, together with Isaac's deep and resonant vocal, with the highlight coming around the 2:19 mark when the backing vocals come in and the song starts to build. It's hot shit. Take a listen.
