To be honest, To You Mom's name leaves rather an uninspired feeling upon us, and might well be passed over in favour of something more engaging if just taken on a visual basis without actually listening to their work.
However, not to judge a book by its cover - or band by their name, in this case - TYM (as they shall be further known as in these parts) have come up with a cracking track in 'Charming Karma' - and now an equally effective video.
Our Track Of The Day a few weeks ago, 'Charming Karma' is the second single - released on March 2 - from Milanese duo Luca Lorenzi and Massimiliano Santoni; a darkwave synth-pop delight that contains soul as well as enough glitches in those electronic elements to wire up your mojo.
The video takes a hearing impaired couple who try to work out their problems through sign language, as we read their two-way communication via captions for non-signers. It is absorbing and innovative.
