Following their debut slacker pop vibed 'Deep Web' earlier this year - recorded on an old reel-to-reel - Stockholm trio Magic Potion - vocalist/guitarist Gustaf Montelius, bassist Kristoffer Byström and Andreas Sandberg, drums - now herald their debut EP 'Melt', with lead single 'Booored' (not a misspelling).
The EP. out on June 1, thru PNKSLM, also gets UK indie label Beech Coma releasing it as a cassette + cassette/t-shirt bundle as well. The Magic Potion album is due later this year via PNKSLM.
'Booored' (is this some Swedish word?) is a four-minute bedroom floaty pop sound, with heavily accented vocals and a lazy, hazy arrangement over which we hear constantly that vocalist Gustaf Montelius is bored - or booored.
