Words: Linn Branson
This debut track from Yuro is far from being my usual genre of choice, and not something I personally would usually raise more than half an ear to. However, there is something engagingly listenable about 'English Weather', and the more you hear it, the more infectious and fun it becomes.
'English Weather', say the south London trio (C.W.D - vocals, A.S - electronics/ production, E.K - electronics/ production) - is about the capital, "in the sunshine, the smell of car fumes, concrete, and warm beer. It's about love - but what isn't."
While Yuro may be a new name, you might be able to piece some clues together by their initials of who they might be individually and work elsewhere. With an EP set for release in August, all may soon be revealed as they gain more exposure. Right now, we're off for another weather blast and some desk dancing.
