[Video] Years & Years - Foundation

Following their TFI Friday appearance, Years & Years have shared the opening track from their debut album 'Communion', out on July 10 via Polydor.

Adopting a more 'leftfield' approach, 'Foundation' airs Olly Alexander's vocal against lushly dark synths.

Check out the Fred Rowson-directed video to the track above, which sees Alexander as the object of worship at a bizarre, ritualistic 'funeral'.

"We wanted to revisit some earlier themes and imagery from our videos. We expanded on the eerie and hypnotic feel of the song and played with the drama of ritualistic practise, audience and voyeurism," says Akexander. "Our director, Fred Rowson, was really good at seeing into our minds and bringing our ideas to life."

After Australian dates next month, including appearances in Melbourne, Sydney and Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass, the band are set forva UK autumn tour.
