Listen :: Sydney Psych Quartet The Dandelion Ready New Album

Words: Ellie Ward

Following last summer's self-titled EP, and their debut full-length 'Strange Case Of The Dandelion' in 2013, Sydney psych quartet The Dandelion are ready to deliver more retro psychedelia on their second upcoming full-length.

'Seeds, Flowers And Magical Powers Of The Dandelion', out on September 16, was recorded over a period of 12 months between last summer and this, and was engineered and produced by the band's frontwoman Danatalia de Silver (formerly of The Dolly Rocker Movement and Kill City Creeps) using a Tascam cassette recorder.

New single ‘A Sweet Death Song’ taken from the album shows their way with fusing vintage mix nostalgia with swirling psych-folk psychedelia, that is brim full of glitchy guitars and lightweight vocals.

The Dandelion play an album launch show at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on September 17.
