Watch :: The Echo And The Always - Go Easy

Swansea/Cardiff quintet The Echo and The Always, about to release their debut album ‘…and After that the Dark’ on October 30 via Jealous Lovers Club, have preceded that with the music video to first single 'Go Easy'.

Filmed at Cardiff's Chapter Arts Centre and featuring dancer Kimba Cooper spinning tricks with a hula hoop, ‘Go Easy’, addresses the fears that we have when a relationship becomes serious. As vocalist Laura Hancock explains: “Numerous failed relationships can lead to anxiety about a current partner. The song is about someone who doesn’t know how to maintain a long term relationship, so they think about sabotaging it so that they can remain in control.”

"Go easy on me/I'm not accustomed to the ways of the morning/after the phantom of the chase", sings Laura Hancock over the graceful choral lines of indie shimmer and electric hooks that draw on their rock/folk/indie pop background.

The band play their own curated event Gwd Jams in Cardiff on September 30, followed by Undegun, Wrexham on October 24 and Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff on October 30.
