TEN FÉ - IN THE AIR
The second track - after earlier single 'Make Me Better' - from the debut album (produced by Ewan Pearson -M83, Jagwar Ma) from London duo Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan. Indie pop with bright drone guitar lines, groovy vocals and pressing drums. On tour now, catch them tonight (November 21) at London's Moth Club, and Monday in Birmingham at Hare & Hounds. PHANTASTIC FERNITURE - GAP YEAR
"One of the best bands to come out of Sydney in the last year", follow-up their debut single 'Fuckin’ and Rollin', with this new single produced by drummer Ryan Brennan. Choppy guitars and the sultry vocals of Julia Jacklin. Star rating: ***.5/5






HIDDEN CHARMS - LOVE YOU CAUSE YOU'RE THERE
Blues rockers reveal their new single, co-released yesterday (November 20) by Deltasonic Records and B3SCI as the next offering after debut double AA side single 'Dreaming Of Another Girl' / 'Long Way Down'. Led by 21-year-olds Vincent Davies (vocals/guitar), Ranald Macdonald (vocals/keys), Josh Lewis (guitar/bass) and Oscar Robertson (drums), the London quartet release their debut EP early next year. Star rating: **.5/5





VIOLET DAYS - SCREAMING COLORS
Swedish alt-pop band Violet Days fronted by Lina Hansson, who describes this as about “the feeling when you realize that you gotta break out of that darkness inside of your head and actually open up your eyes and look around you." The latest track from the Stockholm-based four-piece after their debut single 'So Dope', once again balance a big sound with uplifting chorus in a dark pop coating. Star rating: ***/5





SANDS - IN PERSON
Lead cut from the five-track debut EP 'Farewell', released this week. A smooth-grooving soul jam from new Nashville trio (Mike Mineo, vocals, guitar; Johnny Mineo, bass, backing vocals; Scotty Rollins, drums), which is a definite chill-out of a track. Star rating: ***/5
