After releasing their debut single 'Away From Me' and 'We Go Back' a few months ago, Danish outfit CHINAH return with follow-up, 'Minds'.
Perhaps the best of the trilogy, 'Minds' mixes electro pop textures with atmospheric synths and electronic drums enabling the Copenhagen trio - vocalist Fine Glindvad, guitarist Kjær Lauridsen and Simon Lars Gustav on synths - to produce something smooth and refreshingly different in this new track (originally inspired by Rihanna's 'Skin', from her 2010 album 'Loud'). It's hard to ignore Glindvad's scintillating vocal pitch over clicky beats and sparse guitar lines that reverberate on a bed of R&B, and given this dropped little more than 24 hours ago it has already managed to draw effusive praise from a number of online blogs.
Watch out for their debut EP, due for release in January via label No.3. And if you happen to be Berlin way next week, they play the city's FluxBau venue on November 12.
