Ukrainian indie synthpop duo Lakeway first came our way back in early summer with their single 'Late' (see here). Now the Kiev-based pair return to end the year with 'Everything You Wanted'.
If you read my previous post on them you will see how I was a little amused by the accent of vocalist Dima Plakhotnii - though in a nice way; after all, it was a Track Of The Day! But seven months on, with one EP 'Heartbeat' now behind them, both the accent, as well as the music, seem to have come along nicely judging by this latest track which partners subtle synth melodies with Dima's unobtrusive voice in a catchy three-minute work.
Lakeway was originally a trio when they formed back in 2013, who went on to achieve some measure of success in Ukraine, releasing two chart-topping EPs before a few months ago becoming a two-piece of Dima and Sasha Gulenko (guitar, synths) and embarking on a third record for release next year.
