Released last week (February 8), 'Closer' is another deftly crafted piece of work from Cape Cub - aka Chad Male - and the title track from his debut EP, out on March 25.
Taking inspiration from the landscape around his Marske-by-the-Sea hometown on the North-East coast, Male once again perfectly captures “fragility and the painful side of love" as he did so well last year on 'Lantern' and 'Swim'.
The enigmatic 'Closer' allows Male to channel his real heart-tugging and emotively expressive voice in perfect unison with the gentle guitars, widescreen melodies, and undulating beats in a bewitching and melancholic alt-pop track.
