Watch :: Carnivals - Tangerine Dream (Live at Parr Street Studios)
Words: Conran McMullan
South-east London psych-rock quartet Carnivals are a picture of monochrome fashion in new live video for track ‘Tangerine Dream’, filmed whilst recording at Liverpool's Parr Street Studios.
With inspiration as wide as Tame Impala and The Wytches, the band have created their own unique sound propelled by the vocal of lead singer Cal Green.
The song was written on the beach at 6am in Benicassim where the band would
wait for the sunrise, with the line "the sea dissolves the path to a woeful morning" describing how the sea will always brighten up your morning no matter how bad it is.
Carnivals were in Liverpool recording their debut single ‘Shadows’ which is set for release on April 1, they also have a few live shows coming up:
March
05 Brighton Hope and Ruin
12 London Windmill Brixton
April
01 London The Social
29 London Amersham Arms
