Listen :: Trampolene share new single 'The Gangway' ahead of August mini-album

Words: LB

With three mini-albums under their belt - ‘Alcohol Kiss’ (April 2014), ‘Imagine Something Yesterday’ (March 2015), ‘It’s Not Rock & Roll’ (October 2015) - Trampolene now go for their fourth, ‘Pocket Album Four,’ released on August 12, again through Mi7 Records.

‘Pocket Album Four’ was recorded live at Konk Studios in North London and produced by the band's vocalist and writer Jack Jones with Josh Green (Wild Beasts, Madness).

The full track listing for ‘Pocket Album Four’ is:

The Gangway
Tom Hardy
Friday I’m In Love
Letting You Down
To Be A Libertine (Spoken Word)

Check out new single ‘The Gangway,’ mixed by Cenzo Townshend (Jamie T / Everything Everything) above.  Described as 'a rock’n’roll coming of age vignette', it is the band's follow-up to ‘It’s Not Rock & Roll’.

Says Jones: “‘The Gangway’ is a small derelict lane in Swansea. We used to hang out there, playing Spin The Bottle with a bottle of panda pops, or kicking about old knackered footballs with the orange inner tubes bursting out. A mis-spent youth, you might say…”

The poem ‘To Be A Libertine', written by Jones, includes spoken word contributions from Carl Barat, Peter Doherty, Gary  Powell and John Hassall (The Libertines) along with some of their fans. (Jack was The Libertines recent "tour poet".) The EP will also include a raucous live rendition of the Cure classic, ‘Friday I’m In Love’ which was recorded for a Radio X Session.
