For a band called Floating Room, a track called 'Dead Weight' seems in direct odds, but the Portland, Oregon noise-pop/shoegaze four-piece somehow carry off both a dreamy lightness of feel on this track from their debut album, 'Sunless', released last week through Good Cheer Records.
Maya Stoner's (guitar, drums, synths, beats) vocals float airily above experimentally atmospheric touches of synths, Kyle Bates' guitar and samples, and grounding bassline.
