HEART BEACH - BRITTLE
Tasmanian self-described "skuzz pop" trio follow-up their self-titled 2015 debut with new album 'Kiss Your Face', out on November 11 via Spunk Records. This cut showcases their catchy fuzz vibe, with Claire McCarthy's vocals helming the killer indie-pop sound. Star rating: ★★




PLANET - CAN'T CONNECT
The Sydney alt-rock/pop quartet soar once again on this track engineered by the band's Matty Took. Reverb-rich acoustic and electric guitars and layers of effects create lush textures of what they describe as “relaxed and chilled but infused with high-octane energy and an unmistakable attitude” music. Star rating: ★★




WORLD RADIO - LOVE ME NOT
Second single - "an exploration of the more disco side of our sound" - from the duo project of Mancunians Luke Rowland and Alex Currie who add a nostalgic gloss to 80s inspired pop sounds. Star rating: ★★




JAGARA - LET ME GO
Dan Smith (Bastille) approved - “I think they’re fucking great" - London electro pop sister trio - Jane, Ruth and Cat - whose glistening 80s synthwork and shimmering guitar sound here was inspired by Deutschland 83. Star rating: ★★




ROUSSEAU - SUGAR PLUM
Wellington via Auckland, New Zealand singer/songwriter with her debut single and the first taste of her forthcoming debut EP, "hello, i know you’re busy", out early 2017. Satirical lyrics are worked onto a dark pop palette that melds hip-hop inspired beats around Tchaikovsky’s 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy'. Star rating: ★★
