Track Of The Day :: Shy Nature - Eyes So Cold

Shy Nature have not been too prominent on our radar since our 5 Minutes With... two years ago; last heard when releasing their 'Christmas Lullaby' almost a year ago.

It seems the alt-rock trio have been quietly working away on their long-time-coming debut album (due next year), from which comes our Track Of The Day from the north Londoners.

Out yesterday (November 4) as a free download, album lead cut 'Eyes So Cold' is a track of love gone wrong that opens on a striking continuous guitar note before Will Blackaby introduces his addictively moreish vocal with a poppy drum beat and catchy chorus - that belies its darker lyrical underbelly: "What have you done / You didn't say it but you said enough / She never wanted you to fall in love / She makes your eyes so cold."

Shy Nature play Camden's Lock Tavern, London on November 23.
