TRACK OF THE WEEK
IMAGINARY PEOPLE - SNAPSHOT
Something that reminds of Augustines about these People. Following their 2015 politically tinged full-length debut 'Dead Letterbox', the New York five-piece return with their second album, 'October Alice', due March 2017. This dark, reverb filled post-punk lead cut was influenced by the murder of a close friend of the band. THE PINHEADS - WILDFIRE

oh800 - SHOULDA KNOWN IT
Mixed by Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford, this disco-punk banger, melding a touch of PiL, is the follow-up to the London three-piece's debut single ‘Character Building’ and out on December 9 via Infinite Jest Records. Catch live at The Social, London on November 23 and Sebright Arms on 24th.

THE DIG - BLEEDING HEART (YOU ARE THE ONE)

Another track that is governed by the voice, this time of the LA synth rockers' vocalist Sean Ulbs. Lifted from the trio's second EP, 'You Got Me', out today (November 18), they fuse 80s influences of the Springsteen ilk with a driving beat and shimmering synths.

DESERT MOUNTAIN TRIBE - TAKE A RIDE
Third single of hypnotic guitar lines and driving beat from the recently released debut album, ‘Either That Or The Moon’ from the London-based psych-rock trio, released on December 9, though those with long memories may recall its original single outing back in 2013. Catch live tonight (November 18) at Electrowerkz in London.

THE LAFONTAINES - RELEASE THE HOUNDS
The riding high Glaswegian outfit unveil this big sounding Joe Cross-produced rock blaster of heavy riffs and out next week via LAB/889 Records. Catch live on November 21 at Manchester's Night & Day Cafe, and on 22nd in Dublin at the Grand Social.

FAIRCHILD - START AGAIN
Out this week, Manchester-based Australian six-piece release their smooth Catherine Marks (Foals, Killers, Wolf Alice) produced new single of synthy 80s-Ness, sampled drums and knockout chorus. Singer Adam Lyons states, “To start again doesn’t mean to tear something down in a bout of frustration and rebuild from scratch. It means to reflect, to reassess, to paint over parts of the picture that aren’t working and have faith that new choices will take you somewhere you haven’t been.” Catch live tomorrow (November 19) at Manchester's Soup Kitchen.

MENACE BEACH - GIVE BLOOD
The Leeds-based fuzz rockers share this new doom-surf vibed track from their upcoming 'Lemon Memory' album, released on January 29 2017 via Memphis Industries. Liza Violet and Ryan Needham dip into the vein of scuzz noise with producer Ross Orton.

SAINT AGNES - MERRY MOTHER OF GOD GO ROUND
