After we featured 'Permission Slip' here last month, Brooklyn-based pop-rockers Mainland layer more rhythmic guitars and an angsty punch on latest single 'Empty Promises', interwoven with a fuzzy tinge and intricate drums that combine to build to a compelling crescendo.
