** VIDEO PREMIERE ** Sons - Reptiles

Words: Linn Branson

"Two brothers, two instruments, ONE BIG sound" runs the tag line of Brighton duo Sons. It's an apt one. Little Indie first brought you the Meldrum brothers back in January, with what was then a demo of 'Reptiles'.

After catching the attention of airwaves guru John Kennedy at Radio X with their hard-hitting fuzz-post-punk-rock sound, and gigging around London and the south-east, the pair, Lee and Nick, are now ready to release 'Reptiles' officially as their debut single through End Of The Trail Records on February 10 2017.

In advance of the single and as they set to work on their first EP for release next year, Little Indie can give you first view of the track's video, below, which was shot at Brighton's Electric Studios by Dominic Knight (who has done videos for Bad for Lazarus and Dirty White Fever). The clip, filmed almost entirely in a menacing shade of blue, it captures the relentlessly driving drone undercurrent of the song, with Lee Meldrum spitting out the biting punk lyrics.

"'Reptiles' is a song written about David Icke's idea of a reptilian elite," Lee tells us. "This includes the left, the right and the royals! Just watching them get suited up, smiling for the camera and talking shit to normal folk pisses me off."

SONS are: Lee Meldrum - vocals/ guitar/bass; Nick Meldrum - drums/ backing vocals.
