[Updated] Listen :: The Jesus and Mary Chain unveil lead single from new album/announce UK tour
Words: Sam Geary
Announcing their first album in 18 years, The Jesus and Mary Chain have today shared the first single, ‘Amputation’, from the
forthcoming seventh studio album ‘Damage and Joy’.
Revealing the track on Steve Lamacq’s BBC6 Music show, the full-length record - produced with Killing Joke’s Martin Glover, who also plays bass on the work - drops on March 24 2017 through ADA / Warner Music. It will be the Scottish outfit's follow-up to 1998's ‘Munki’.
Now they have added to that with the news of UK and Irish live shows next year.
The 12-date tour will start on March 23 and run through to April 7 in Dublin. Tickets are on sale from tomorrow (December 10).
