San Francisco singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Melina Duterte has been impressing tastemakers since last year's 'Turn Into' compilation, followed by her new debut 'Everybody Works' album.
Now ahead of her upcoming live shows, she brings her bedroom-pop ambience to a new track, 'Time Off Work'. Uploaded to Bandcamp under the name Melina Mae (you'll also find her under the Jay Som moniker), the lo-fi track gets better with each hearing, as it builds on layers of instrumentation, from simple acoustic guitar to electronic effects.
