Track Of The Day :: Plastic Picnic - Miss It Still

Credit: Bronson Snelling

Words: Ellie Ward

Newly re-released by Highland Park Records (as their first release on the label), is Seattle-formed, now Brooklyn-based, band Plastic Picnic's 'Miss It Still'.

Taken from their new EP, it melds dream and synth-pop around lyrics that tell of the one that got away: “You’ll go through the core of your life / searching for your 'perfect' night / Through all this time, do you miss it still?”

But it's not just that that makes this stand out: just listen to the shimmery synths, the summery melodies, lush guitar strains and the memory impressing vocals of Emile Panerio. And if all that doesn't work, the sunset scenery in this video to accompany the track is just out of this world. Book us a holiday there!

Upcoming live dates:

July
20 Filson Summer Series, Seattle
21 The Shakedown, Bellingham
23 The Capitol Hill Block Party, Seattle
August
01 Baby’s All Right, Brooklyn
