Words: Ellie Ward
Little Indie featured Sheffield then duo now a threesome, Duck, last November with 'Ange's Groove' and 'Always Meet Me In Dreamzzzz', both from their 'sLaCK gOb' EP.
We are pleased to hear the Duckling three (Sarah Griffiths - vocals/guitar, Chris Minor - synths/vocals, Ange Perry - guitar/drums/vocals) - are back with a debut full-length, 'FaceAche', due this year, and a new track from it just out this week.
Like their previous offerings, 'Monsters' is a pummeling, edgy piece of shredded synth/noise-pop that takes no prisoners. "Fuck off Nazi Scum" is the word here behind lyrics: "Here come the monsters / cold dead eyes, living off fear and telling you lies / Here come the monsters / can only make sense of pounds and pence and dollars and cents." Scroll down for its full four-minutes-plus.
