Track Of The Day :: Honey Lung - Stuttering Mind

Words: Linn Branson

Fuzzy. Sonic. Reverb. All are well repped on this really quite sublime new Michael Smith and Matthew Thomas-produced single, 'Stuttering Mind', from London's Honey Lung.

Out later this week (September 29), the follow-up to 'Sophomore' (from earlier this summer), with its melodic gaze - part shoe-, part dream- - and Jamie Batten's voice which rolls beautifully over reverb-drenched guitars, comes into its own and just blows you away from around the 1.45 minute mark as it picks up and runs through a lush wall of sound, making this arguably the band's best work to date. It gets better with every hearing.

04 Bodega, Nottingham *
05 Bush Hall, London *
07 Tsunami Club, Cologne *
