Little Indie spoke to Cheshire-based three-piece Strangers last November on the release of single 'Hibernate'. Now they kick off 2019 with 'Big Sleep', the second track from their forthcoming mixtape, set to be released in spring.
This new single, which dropped last Friday, and debuted on Sunday by Dave Monks on BBC Radio Merseyside, we are really digging. Written collectively by all three members of the band - vocalist/guitarist Liam McGrath, bassist Sean Goddard and drummer Jamie Griffith - and produced by McGrath, 'Big Sleep' once again employs the same dark tinged, post-punk edge as its predecessor, with McGrath's voice standing invitingly to the fore over some quite delicious guitar moments.
Catch Strangers live at Liverpool's Cavern Club on January 30 for a free entry show.
