London quartet black midi have already taken 2019 by the scruff of its musical neck - and shaken it hard with the release of 'Speedway', as well as storming the US with performances at SXSW and then selling out their first two shows ever in New York City.
And after unveiling 'Crow’s Perch' last month, they now reveal the other side to that AA-side 12" with 'Talking Heads' - an intense three minutes driven by frenzied percussion, bright, vivacious guitar, and fitful vocals - out on May 17 on Rough Trade Records.
“We’ve always tried to make it heavy but danceable, melodic but good rhythms,” says frontman Geordie Greep. “It is accessible music, there are experimental aspects that we’ve taken from when we went crazy at the beginning, we’ve just reined it in to make something that is pop music.”
