With the vibrant indie music scene in Australia and New Zealand constantly outshining much of the output from their British and American cousins, Little Indie picks our weekly bunch of some of the best new tracks on offer.
LAZERLIPS - CRAWL BACK
The Melbourne trio follow last year's 'Preaching' with this track, first aired on the 'My Veins' EP. Melding garage-punk and alt-rock, it's raw, energetic and strikes a scratchy infectiousness.
SUNBATHER - SOFTLY SPOKEN
Brisbane duo Sunbather - ex-OKBADLANDS' Sally Latter on vocals and bass, Mike Todman on guitar, joined by Stu McKenzie (Good Boy, Future Haunts) on drums - drop their woozy, dreampop debut single, released last week. Using only guitars for their melodic textures, a myriad of layered riffs and almost synth-like tones are paired with upbeat, crisp percussion elements.

TANAYA HARPER - EVAN KEELE
Perth artist Tanaya Harper gives the first taste of her second EP 'Slow Motion Break-up', out in March. Evan Keele, released January 31, is an intoxicating three minutes, helmed by her personal lyrics delivered with vocal honesty. "'Evan Keele' is an angsty song about feeling bored with stability. I have Bipolar type 2 and happily take medication for it, but a few years ago when I was initially settling into a stable life I actually grieved the manic highs that I wasn't experiencing anymore. So writing a song was how I got that yearning out of my system."
