Coach Party 'Can’t Talk, Won’t' (but singing's okay!)
Words: Ellie Ward
Released this week via Chess Club Records, the Isle of Wight's grunge-pop outfit Coach Party share new single 'Can’t Talk, Won't'.
Following their debut EP 'Party Food', 'Can’t Talk, Won’t', produced by drummer Guy Page, nails their infectious trademark grunge-pop style, with big guitars augmented by Jess Eastwood's cheeky-punk vocals
“'Can't Talk, Won't' is when you have a lifelong habit of repressing and never really dealing with the things that have hurt you," explains Eastwood. "Eventually you get to the point where tiny, everyday, meaningless things start to trigger all of that unresolved shit from your past.
“The track is good to dance to, it feels upbeat but is it fuck. It always helps to give a self-loathing song a deceptively positive sounds when you’re a band full of serial repressors.”
