Oakland, California-based minimalist post-punk-funkers Naked Roommate have shared a new video for 'Repeat', taken from their debut album 'Do The Duvet', out now via Upset The Rhythm and Trouble in Mind.
Originally conceived in 2018 by Amber Sermeńo & Andy Jordan (partners in art & life), the quartet's debut album proffers leftfield hijinks via punk execution, answering all the questions posed by questionable post-punk revivalism with sour lemon sneering and cherry-sweet smiles.
With its cyclical synth and drum patterns 'Repeat' is “a positive groove to get you through the daily grind," says Amber Sermeńo. The track's single-line lyrics, "Look Good. Smell Good. Repeat." echoing her sentiment between waves of hot and sticky guitar pulses.
Elaborating on the new visual, Amber says: “This video (just like the song) latches onto familiar and aesthetically pleasing pastiches. So much so you might forget you’re listening to radical anarcho-pop... just like Chumbawamba”
