Darlia Knock With Debut
Blackpool newcomers Darlia release their debut EP 'Knock Knock' on October 28 through Ignition 45s.
'Knock Knock' is the first offering by the three piece, headed by songwriter and lead singer Nathan Day, Dave Williams on bass and Jack Bentham on drums. The EP includes the lead tracks 'Queen Of Hearts' (premiered by Zane Lowe last week as his 'Next Hype') and 'Napalm' and will be released on 7" vinyl and digital download.
Recorded in a very remote part of Wales in the summer with producer Cam Blackwood (The Horrors, London Grammar, Florence and The Machine, Frightened Rabbit), Knock Knock is the perfect introduction for a band who ooze youthful exuberance and raw, unbridled energy. Knock Knock tells tales of conflict, anxiety, pain and confusion, and though only 19, in Nathan Day's lyrics we see a highly developed level of maturity and intelligence way above that of his peers.
Darlia play the following UK dates this autumn:
Sept 17 - The Cockpit 3, Leeds
Sept 19 - Independent Room 2, Sunderland
Sept 20 - Ku Bar, Stockton
Sept 21 - The Mad Ferrett, Preston
Sept 22 - The Rainbow Courtyard, Birmingham
Sept 23 - Sugarmill, Stoke On Trent
Sept 25 - Fallow Cafe, Manchester
Sept 26 - 53 Degrees @ UCLAN, Preston
