With their debut album expected later this year, Leeds-based Autobahn have unveiled a new track, ‘Beautiful Place To Die’, the first since last year’s ‘EP 2’.
The four-minute ‘Beautiful Place To Die’ is a dark, dystopian track, governed by its eerily dramatic post-punk opening chords, a driving rhythm and Craig Johnson's vocal dominating over an ominous sense of doom. They state on their Soundcloud page with the upload: “There was snow on the ground, sun shining and I thought to myself, ‘if I were to crash and die here, at least it would be a really beautiful place to die.'”
Autobahn play Chameleon Cafe Bar, Nottingham on April 24, and Trades Club, Hebden Bridge on June 5 with Eagulls.
