Wiltshire's Fieldview Festival Returns For 9th Year / First Names Announced

Wiltshire’s biggest little festival is back in 2015.

Fieldview Festival is returning to
Wiltshire for its 9th year between August 6 - 9 at Scotland Hill in Chippenham. The former garden party that swelled to a 3000 capacity multi day event is returning with a new site and its charming mix of the UK`s best independent and grassroots music. The festival has raised over £25,000 pounds for local and international charities since its inception and has become a highlight in the local summer festival scene for music revellers of all ages from the surrounding area and across the UK.

Having gained a reputation for programming artists that are destined for bigger stages, for 2015 so far confirmed are punk folk road warriors Skinny Lister, the laid back dance rhythms of Boxed In and Wiltshire`s own fast rising folktronic star Henry Green, who is supporting Nick Mulvey on his upcoming European tour. Friday's folk offering also includes fast rising Clean Bandit featured vocalist Eliza Shaddad and the youthful raw talent of blues sensation Dan Owen. Also confirmed, with more names to be added, are Eska, Fickle Friends, The Magic Gang and Shannon Saunders.

The festival provides something for everyone, with its near compulsory fancy dress theme, yoga and tai chi workshops, boutique stalls and late night revelry. The festival mixes the cutting edge with the traditional, you can expect to see London's next underground sensation on the main stage while a sea shanty band rock the house across the track.

Festival organiser Dan Cameron explains the festivals music as, “We just try and programme the best quality music we can, we want to surprise people, we don`t want to just select one genre or style, we want people to discover their new favourite band or try a workshop they would never normally come into contact with.”

THE MAGIC GANG
The Magic Gang have been busy spreading their infectious brand of college rock and undeniable power pop accross the UK. Having already toured with the likes of Swim Deep and Fieldview favourites Wolf Alice; the Brighton boys are now proving their worth on tape with their impressive double A side "No Fun/Alright".

ESKA
She's collaborated with legends like Cinematic Orchestra and Zero 7 and received strong radio support from the tastemakers Gilles Peterson, Lauren Laverne and John Kennedy.
