After we featured fast-rising Newcastle foursome Coquin Migale here back in the summer, they have continued to hit the tracks in support of indie rock, earning themselves the spotlight from tastemakers through to Radio One stalwart Huw Stephens.
Formed at Northumbria University in 2013, their debut EP 'The Yellow Room', and follow-up 'FEEL' - the latter from which previous singles 'GOLD' and 'SOCOTRA' were taken - set about showing the band's ability to write complex guitar-driven indie music with strong lyrical content. They are now set to demonstrate this once more with new single 'LUV', which Little Indie are pleased to premiere here.
Set for official release on November 20 via End Of The Trail Records, 'LUV', apart from continuing their run of title capitalisation, is also big on hooky, anthemic guitar lines that spread across the track's four-and-a-half-minutes-plus from its opening haunting notes. Layered with plenty of reverb, Alex Soper’s vocal explodes with a passion that lends a shoegaze element to the harder rock drums edge.
