Track Of The Day :: Strange Names - Trespassing

Words: Linn Branson

Minneapolis-based Strange Names have been on Little Indie's radar for the last two years since we first heard and fell in love with EP title track 'Strange Revelation', which came out in September 2013.

Led by New Yorker Liam Benzvi and Minnesotan Francis Jiminez, Strange Names have a gift for combining the finer elements of electro-pop with enigmatic vocals and soaring melodic infusion.

And with 'Tresspassing', the latest cut from their debut album 'Use Your Time Wisely' released back in May this year, they add catchy funk vibes to their dancefloor pop that are impossible not to love.

The accompanying NSFW video, concept and direction by Anthony&Alex, was shot overnight in a Jersey City motel, and includes life-size dolls, cling film, various fetishes, and hob tub gatherings.  The directors say the idea was to 'not only have a fun, sexy, filthy vibe, but get the idea across that perverted things are happening everywhere, all the time." It's a very watchable clip - though perhaps not whilst at your office desk with the boss hovering!

Strange Names are midway through a US tour with remaining dates as:
