"There's only one Jimmy Mitchell...one Jimmy Mitchell..." Yes, you could almost make a football chant out of the solo project of Sydney-based, Perth-raised Jimmy Mitchell of the eponymous multi-instrumentalist The Jim Mitchells...of which there is, of course, only one Jim Mitchell.
His part-bedroom recorded debut EP - and title track here - ‘Planet Absorbed’, is a glorious piece of psych-infused surfgaze that sees influence from the likes of Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees, with layered vocal hooks and warped guitars and and even a harmonica insert.
The 'Planet Absorbed' EP is out in March via Third Eye Stimuli Records.
